Grammy award winners, The Black Keys, will be rocking in the New Year with two epic shows at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The duo will help say goodbye to 2012 and welcome 2013 with performances on Sunday, December 30 and Monday, December 31 with special guest Divine Fits.
The Black Keys—Akron, OH natives Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney—released their debut album, The Big Come Up, in 2002, followed by Thickfreakness (2003) and Rubber Factory (2004). In 2006 they signed to Nonesuch Records in the U.S. and released their fourth album, Magic Potion, which was followed by the Danger Mouse-produced Attack & Release in 2008. El Camino was the first Black Keys album Nonesuch released worldwide last December.
El Camino was produced by Danger Mouse and The Black Keys and was recorded in the band’s new hometown of Nashville during the spring of 2011. The record debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified RIAA Gold. The album’s first single, "Lonelyl Boy," reached #1 on the Alternative and AAA charts; it also entered the top 10 at Rock radio. The second, single, “Gold on the Ceiling” hit the top 10 at Alternative radio. In addition to El Camino’s success, the duo’s 2010 breakthrough album, Brothers, was recently certified RIAA Platinum.
